Yes if you have the time and the hardware to use pro res . For those working in the industry its fine, but using pro res will mean after 30 minutes or so video recording you will have to land and finish or download to a big hard drive before filming anymore. And unless you are showing on the big screen then its going to be difficult to show off your silky smooth footage. You are basically paying 800 bucks for a 1TB ssd drive and a pro res license which is the cost of the same with an inspire 2. So I don’t think you get much greater value from cine than SC2 and combo “unless you are serious hobbyists or pro or you like lots of useless nd filters.
Perhaps. A lot of internet people have made billions throughout the years and they rely on video to keep making more content. 30 minutes of footage is pretty long considering some clips in videos only consist of no more than 1 minute of drone footage max. Filming for many hours and lots of TB means something is wrong in the planning. If you know what you are doing, 10 minutes of footage should be enough. Not entirely sure about Prores 422 in terms of flexibility but if it's as easy in performance as editing H.264 vs H.265 then it makes sense. If you aren't editing much then of course, no need to spend the extra $800 on useless features.
I've had bad luck color grading but I assume it's due to the 8-10bit setups I have. You can only stretch things so much before they look ugly. Meaning, my settings during recording were wrong. Too overexposed, too underexposed. I like to be able to film w/ no cut but when you do this, you end up with an overexposed recording or underexposed which is why auto works for me. I'm all for capturing what should be seen not trying to make all the clips look the same way throughout multiple cameras, scenes, and perspectives which takes tons of extra effort.
