Has anyone seen anything about if or when the Mavic 3 would be supported by the SDK?

Didn't see anything on GitHub for Mavic 3.  Still waiting on SDK for Mini 2.

The M2P was supported quite quick after launch so I was hoping it might be quicker than that. But you’re probably right.

and why are you still not proving waypoints for the Mavic 3 ? Is it part of a plan (or marketing gimmick?) to artificially differentiate it with future overpriced "Enterprise" products ?

are you waiting for a competitor to come up and eat your lunch by providing these features to customers who need them without all of your hassle ?

I think you may have a point there with the Enterprise products.  It wont be long now before the Mavic 2 Enterprise drone is replaced with the 3 and at that point I think we'll see some of those features.

Bet you waypoints will be through virtual sticks only.
In other words, if signal is lost, the mission gets aborted, same way Mavic 3 will be implemented.
Not like Mavic 2 that the actual mission gets uploaded to the craft which Is a much safer way.

Mavic 3 will not be supported this year. It may support SDK next year. Because the MSDK version that supports Mavic 3 has not been planned yet, it is impossible to give you a clear roadmap. Sorry about that.

Dji advised in my ticket that they aren’t planning an sdk for m3. For the people wondering what that means: this means you won’t be able to use the Mavic 3 for drone deploy, pix4d, DroneLink, etc. no mapping, no advanced panoramas or waypoints, no planning on a computer before the flight, everything is manual. So most people who do any form of commercial work are going to need to keep their mavic 2 or phantom. It’s very dissapointing and I wouldn’t have purchased the m3 if DJI were open about this upfront.

Im sure it will come eventually,   But it was never advertised to have SDK support so we cant really complain that DJI did anything wrong,   Of course it should have had it from launch like all the other drones that didnt get it.

Distressing news everyone... looks like this drone will not be able to do aerial mapping... just got this direct from a DJI Rep: "The GSP would not be supporting the M3, the M3 is not Mobile SDK compatible and it does not support waypoint mission".  GSP = GSPro

That rep needs to be fired!

The SDK for mini and air were particularly slow for whatever reasons. It wouldn’t surprise me if SDK was released quickly for M3. With craft like P4, P4pro, SDK was released in first couple of months. It was quick with M1 and M2. Not sure if I got email, ill check my trash

If it was less than 9 months before the SDK is released I'll be surprised,   The SDK used to be important to get sales from the hobbyists that built their own drones,  the new products are much more consumer  based products now.

They don’t advertise SDK availability when they launch a product so it’s really a value add service.
