Totally agree with you. My comment were to those who said they had booked jobs with a M3 this coming weekend. Even if delivered on time, not much cushion to ensure everything is as it needs to be for safety.
I think you misunderstood. I had planned to test fly the aircraft this past weekend and get it into service as soon as I can. Normally this process is, like you (or someone described) as flying, testing features, batteries, initial battery measurements for Airdata, getting the settings dialed in the way I like them, shoot test video and images, basically work the aircraft over to make sure it's in top shape.
My M2P is still doing fine and I'm sure it will continue to for a long time to come. I'm not in a hurry to get the M3PC to a specific job but I spent the money, I want to get it checked out and ready to fly ASAP so I can start to see ROI (and charge people double for ProRes because they think they need it).
PS - My aircraft is STILL in Anchorage, AK and hasn't moved since Thursday at 1:30 pm. Longest 3-5 days EVER. |
