How much should the basic version of the Mavic 3 cost:

Not that it matters anything.
But 1200 feels like a better price point (for me at least )

2199 because thats the price of it. Not sure anyone will buy it if the think its not worth that.

I have no issue with the price. With new technology and features comes a price increase. Cost DJI more so it will cost the consumer more. Did I like spending the money. No but so far am happy with my purchase. Just my opinion.

Realistically they've probably invested a lot in the Mavic 3, and they know people are willing to spend on DJi products.

The problem is that half the press on the Mavic 3 is about price, along with more than a few pieces of satire!
It will lose customers as a result.

I know I'm now tossing up whether I want it, yet I was all for it last week!

I think they should have at least tried to keep it under $2000 US (so $1999 or something). Same with Australia, under $3000 would have made the pill less bitter, and $1100 extra for the Fly More is a bit hard to take, no matter how nice the bag is!

I think it is quite reasonable for all three options offered. My wife was spot on with the $5k guess on the Cine. With the new RC Pro controller included, I'm happy with the purchase.

Probably not many people visit this forum ...

Difference in price between 1” sensor camera and a 4/3 camera 500 plus you will need to spend further 500 to get a lens for your 4/3 camera, so difference between 1” drone and 4/3 drone 500 with lens , value looks good to me.

This would have been a smart marketing move.   On the other side, DJI may have a longer term strategy with market segments that will take time for everyone to understand.

Well, a Sony RX VII with a 1" sensor is $1198 USD and a Canon RP (FF sensor) with RF 24-105 Lens is $1199 USD.  If we use your logic then DJI should charge $1 more for a drone with a FF sensor.  I can hardly wait!

Now you look ridiculous, I don’t think M3 as it is will carry around a FF camera, so first you need to create a different drone. So when you make sense come back well discuss.

You took  2 arbitrary cameras with different sensor formats and claimed the price difference represents the value difference between drones with the same different sensors.  I did the same to show that your comparison really doesn't make sense.  Let me give you a different comparison.  You can buy a Panasonic Lumix G95 (MFT) with 12-60 Lens for $698 USD or a Sony RX VII with a 1” Sensor for $1198 USD.   Using your logic, the Mavic 3 should be priced $500 less than a drone with a 1” sensor.  DJI is ripping us off!

No it isn’t my logic. But dji moved mavic 1 up from €1099 to €1499 and changed from 1/2” sensor to 1” they then put  a 4/3 sensor 3 years later amid a time when price rises are now a world wide phenomenon with shortages of many component parts and yes the price hike came at €600 but what you got or this was a camera with twice the size sensor + another camera and battery life increase of 50% , and you think this should have come in at the same price as a m2pro , where’s the logic in that. You’re being ridiculous and those who buy M3 will buy because they think its worth the price , and those who don’t go cry into their soup…

I think there pricing is fair consider what's included. I think it's better to charge more than it is to make it a lower quality product. I personally appreciate getting the best that I can.

I'm not arguing DJI's pricing model here and their value proposition.  I am stating that comparing desperate camera bodies with different sensor sizes is not very meaningful in terms of value.  FYI, a 1" stacked CMOS sensor will have greater photographic dynamic range than an older generation micro-four thirds sensor.
