For a moment I was a bit afraid you would get too close to those windmills.

Too dark for ND filters and too bright for manual settings. Just couldn't get an even balance. Bit of fiddling in post.

I went to the same place yesterday afternoon. The wind turbines were really spinning and the turbulence added to the natural wind was unflyable.

Yeah, they were at take off speed yesterday. The wind howls straight through this spot, so ideal for the turbines.

Still struggled with the sunrise. Set to Iso 200 as 100 was too dark. FPS was a bit tricky, but not bad considering. That's the only thing with sunrise and the 10-15min window you have to catch it.

I'm wondering how big the effect of the turbines themselves is. (on the wind speed etc.)

Yes, it is a real struggle.
I personally like how much 'headroom' you get with D-Cinelike.
Even at the cost of some noise (which makes sense)
