Well the Mavic 3 launch was pretty impressive. Maybe a bit more drone than what I really need, but still salivating at the thought of having an extra $3k to buy one
Until then, I'll have to set my sights a bit lower. Enter the "Mini 3".
I've been doing a lot of research on the Mini 2 but at this point seems outdated with Hubsan and Autel putting the heat on DJI with their sub 250g competition. I've seen the rumors floating around for months expecting a Nov.15 release of a potential "Mini 3" which now seems far gone given that I haven't seen any leaks indicating so. At this point I'm doubting any more DJI releases this year.
What are your thoughts on a Mini 3 release? This year? Spring 2022?

Will it rain on March 17th?
Are your eyes blue?

There's no point making guesses when there's no information at all to go on.
It might arrive next year or maybe even the year after.

I was hoping for a Mini3 too but all the rumours have kinda dried up.  

I have no insider information but if you want a guess I'd say April/May 2022.  I'll probably buy the Mini 3 when it is released.  

I must say the features on the EVO Nano are pretty darn enticing. But since DJI is pretty much the gold standard as far as reputation and credibility, I may hold out for now. I’m hopeful the Mini 3 (whenever it releases) will compete with those features and price point. Fingers crossed for a late Xmas gift or early tax return splurge!

Any specific features you’d want to see on the Mini 3? Extended battery life and obstacle avoidance please!

......and  a  real new  camera sensor  almost like AIR2 s  .....(even if this will imply that AIR2s will have no more sense )

I'd be hard pressed to consider spending any substantial amount on a new drone unless it has Remote ID built in....  We know it can be done, because Fimi is advertising that feature already... (I have no experience with that company)

RID is a hardware issue (transmitter requires different frequencies), so do not expect to get this feature through a firmware update on existing products...  Your only option for existing drones will be some kind of add-on transmitter dongle, which will add weight etc.  I'd really think DJI would release a "more substantial" product as their first to meet RID requirements, but either way the Mini will have RID or it will not be worth purchasing.
