Hi, I cant set wifi to 5GHz with 2,4 it work fine.
What im doing:
turn on camera, go to setting and select 5.8GHz menu item, afte that go to wireless info and see device name and pass.
after that I open DJI mimo and try connect to camera, but when came configured to 5GHz, app says me wifi pass changed and recomends to turnOFF/turnON WLAN, bau it useless, nothing changed it cant connect.
After that a return to camera settings and select 2.4GHz again its changed without any waiting (at first time after turning on when I select 5.8GHZ it show me loading spinner) and after that if a try change to 5.8 it blink green marker into 5.8 row and return back to 2.4
i think it BUG!
what im doing wrong?

Hi MadJackal. According to the Russia local regulation. Only 2.4G can be used in Russia.
Plz let us know if policy changes.

1 even if 5GHz was denied in Russia, so strange behavior in setting is a BUG, if you restrict this band, remove it from selection, but besides, you can still choose it. Its look like a joke!
2 link you show, what it is? why so big company makes decisions based on very strage web site? why you do not want to use legally documents of the country for which you impose restrictions ?
3 there are many devices in Russia which works on 5GHz : smartphones, network roters, smart home devices an so on, but you decided restrict 5GHz for your divice in Russia based on website, astonishingly

we are not according to a particular website.
we have local policy colleague and get confirmed. It is for all the DJI product.

I illustrate this website to say it is public known regulation.plz refer to this:

5G hz wifi is for indoor use in russia.
the router you illustrate, is a indoor device, so it passes the local regulation.
action camera can be out door used, so 5g wifi has to be tuned off. Sorry for the inconvience.


For the settings thing. plz update to firmware 01.01.05.10
the setting will be hidden for "not allow 5G" countries like russia, japan.etc

I'm already on it, updated right after purchase and the described behavior occurs on it

I'm confused
in wiki wtote that 5GHz uvailable but not all range, and available subrange only indoor(200mW) or 100mW (here i think they mean all except indoor use)
but in your link I cant see any additional options under *** only indoor

i dont understand how 5GHz in my smartphone works? its not indoor device

can you explain me this?

not just for fun, but in my apartment i see more then 12 2.4GHz accespoints and dji mimo all the time warning about bad transmission when I download video from cam on to my phone
and 5GHz with min power will make my life better if this is possible without breaking the law on your part

It’s not a bug. Action 2 has no gps and can’t see the region.  The region can see only Mimo app and it blocks using 5.8 in regions where 5.8 is indoor use only. You can’t  use  routers with 5.8 outdoor.

This is just like the higher temperature option that is not available in the EU.
It's not a bug, its a restriction that is put into place by your country.
