I just received some new caddx/dji cameras and some longer cables to replace the crappy polar cameras on my newer vista builds, im wondering if anyone has done the same job recently as the new caddx replacement cables are different to the old ones and i cant for the life of me work out a way to thread it through the hole on tha camera back plate without damaging it. the older ones were flexible where the clips join the cable, now they have a stiff black structure around the cables that looks like it may tear if i force it through the hole.


Edit: I managed to force the cable through but i cant see any way off adding the rubber grommet safely, VERY bad design.

Maybe a spring from a pen and heat shrink tubing?  That’s what used to be a diy solution prevent damage on the end of phone cable before manufacturers caught up.  Little silicone should make it relatively moisture resistant if needed
