Agreed.    Lots of posters are down on them but they can only release information when approved by senior management.  Other than that they area always trying to help, even if some of the replies seemed to be a bit "canned".  I applaud them.

However, yesterday my ISP suffered a minor outage for over 2 hours but today they suffered a major outage for over 6 hours.  Lots of unhappy customers.

It is like a first priority thing nowadays.

So more internet traffic as schools are closed too (but they will do online classes)

Sorry to hear about another almost full lockdown.  Gets kind of old but I'm for it if if helps with the ongoing COVID variant.  Doubt they will try more restrictions here as many people are just too fed up with the pandemic to comply anymore and many think the whole thing is a hoax created by the media.

It's just to keep the pressure of the healthcare system.
So there is no real solution being presented here. Just another 'lower the peak' effort.
And after 4 or 5 of these and promises about vaccins etc. I'm starting to wonder what will be the 'real' way out of this.
Clearly lockdowns are not.

You are spot on about easing the pressure on the healthcare system.  Not sure when the researchers will find the permanent way out, if there is one.  I keep hope for an end to this.

They didn't close the local schools early this year for Omicron.  So my grandson has a half day tomorrow and then they are off until January 3rd.

Normally it is 2 weeks, but Omicron led to an extension of one week (earlier) to prevent the young ones spreading it to the family.

I had my booster about 3 weeks ago.  Now the news is saying something about this becoming an annual event.  I'm sure the drug companies like Moderna and Pfizer would love it if that happened.
