Hello,

Today my Mini 2 disconnected midfly from the controller. It happend to me once but somehow I was able to reestablish connection. Not this time. I was 63 meters away ant tryed everything but the Mini 2 just hoovered until battery died. It should have returned to home as it is programed but it didn´t. So it fell out of the sky from 19 meters. It had 21 satelites, battery was on 30%. As the result: 1 broken propeller, 1 broken battery, gimbal damaged and not working and lost my ND16 filter.

I need help.

You need to post the .txt flight log, preferably on either

and then post the link to the log here.

One DJI admin will soon ask you if you had a hard crash prior to this hard crash. If so, the warranty is void ...

Sounds like it acted as though it was set to hover, not return to home.  There are options on what to do when connection is lost.

It was set to return to home on signal lost.

Did the home position successfully update before you started the flight?

If so, this is a bit worrying...

I think when you fly in Warning Zone (Class C Airspace)  and looses signal, it will not return to home but hoover until it runs out of battery, or you establish connection, cause you cant "Fly with caution" in this case.

even if this would be the case (wich isn't)  than at the end drone will perform a landing where it did hover...

Hi TinoC,

Had a look at your log, the whole flight shows normal values.
Nothing to be found to explain dropping out of the sky.

FailSafe was set to Return To Home.
No messages about loosing connection, no indications that it hit something.

Loosing connections means RTH, wich is a 99,999% good system.
So the only reason for a  drop out of the sky is a complete powerloss.

What surprise me is the damage to the battery, if the drone drops with the battery inside than i would not expect this kind of damage to the battery.

Battery dislogded from the drone in flight ?

I had the same thing happen to me with my DJI mini 2. I was photographing a old lighthouse in St George Island in Florida, lost connection and waited on it to return home. From 100 yards away. After it did not return home I went looking for it and a bystander said it crashed into the brick pavement destroying the drone!

I´m sorry that this also happend to you.
I moved from the Mavic Air 1 to the Mini 2 because of Occusync 2.0.
