Just a few miles from home this hill is one of the many surrounding the valley affording me a good hike of 3hours round trip (including drone time)

Thanks. On the flat, it's not too bad. But most of that is either up or down, fairly steep gradients.

I should do more. Our doctor tells me that I'm slightly high on the Cholesterol scale for my age group.

House work of me today,   first change the UPS batteries,  clean the house and then I have some bit to make in the workshop.

I think it's SAD syndrome ( Seasonal Adjustment Disorder) I feel as though I suffer it every year at the beginning of Winter and the short daylight hours.  It was worse when I was working

In the data centres Ive worked in they dont have windows so many of the techs get a SAD light to try and stop that feeling.

Well thats the batteries swapped and tested,  was a joy,   they just slid out,  I swapped the harness over (saves a few £££ to reuse them) and slid them back in.   The last swap about 5 years ago had swollen so badly everything had to be shutdown and the UPS removed to the workshop to cut them out.

I have a rack full of servers that are protected by the ups.  I honestly have lost count of how many computers I have.

We have an assortment of PCs Laptops and tablets (and smartphones). They tend to accumulate over the years.

I’m mostly running HP DL380’s these days.  I did have one catch fire a few years ago so now I also keep an extra one offline just in case.  That also triggered me to start doing offsite backups every month.

I've lost a lot of photographs and some video due to hard-drive failures in the past.  External drives and the cloud are de Rigueur now.. YT has finished cooking the HD version of my video now, finally. So it's live.
