I just downloaded the Fly App 1.5.1 from apkmirror.com and was wondering why the filename starts with dji-go5-....

To my knowledge, the folder in the Android file system for the Fly app is “go5”.

What's the latest aircraft firmware?

My phone (S21 Ultra) just updated to A12 and I had to format the phone.

Installed 1.5.1 and now I get the widely reported issue of no video feed coming through to the phone. However another issue I noticed was that I get a error message "Incompatible firmware version. Go to profile > Settings to update firmware (code:30224)".

I checked and it reports that I am on the latest firmware:
Aircraft: 01.03.0000

I have a Samsung unlocked S21 Ultra and still no update from them.
I'm in the US.
Can I ask where you are located?

thats the name of it when its installed on your phone, we had the GO4 app so the next logical name is GO5

1.5.1 works fine on my SC.

SC smart controller works with app, it looks light mobile devices have the issues

Had the same problem. Got an upgrade of the Fly 1.5.1 at the same time as a Flybase update. Exactly same error as you got.
Updated the Flybase of my mini2 using the Assistent on a pc. Then connect and updated the Fly app without problem. No error.

It seems the two updates were fighting each other.

What a joke of an application, had to google how to get the option of showing the firmware update in DJI Assistant 2 for the mini 2. Reflashed the same latest firmware and the error is now gone.

Now to wait a year for them to fix the A12 issue. Found that if I record video, the live streaming works. Though this means taking photos is a not going to work as great and you need to be constantly recording video.

I have no idea why they keep the update option in the assistent from us. That is going on for some versions already. And with every new version the parameter is back to 0 and you have to do the fix over again.
So put the procedure somewhere you remember for the next assistent update.

Pretty sure that's a hardware compass issue.

I've had that issue since day one with multiple phones. Of course, it's not been exclusive to the DJI app. Electronic compasses just seem to suck in my opinion.

Move the controller away from any source of metal, ie don't sit in the car, this messes with the compass of the device, I get this all the time especially when I'm sat in the boot, when i move away from the car (10ft at most) is fixes itself. The odd time that it doesn't, you will need to calibrate the phone/tablet compass, you can do this within the google map app.

Oh my gawd - why didn't I ever think to use the controller away from all metal - calibrate it out in the middle of a field for good measure - use it only when 50 meters away from anything even slightly ferritic.

Wait - my mistake - I did all that. Didn't help.

new version ( still labeled 1.5.1 but with 2025 on the end ,, now works with my pixel 6 pro .. .better late than never   uninstall your exisiting 1.5.1 then re download off dji site and re install

The arrow on the blue controller dot should point at the drone. It is there to help orient the antennas toward the drone. It even changes color as an indication of signal strength.
