I noticed the front LEDs are flashing green-red under normal operation. All of my previous Mavics and Phamtoms are solid red. Anybody else find this confusing?

Hello there FRCornelis. Thank you for reaching out and for these information that you have give. When the DJI Mavic 3 is powered on but the motors are not running. the front LEDs glow solid red to display the orientation of the said DJI Drone. After the motor starts, the front LEDs blinks red and green alternately. In addition to obtain better footage, the front LEDs turn off automatically when shooting if the front LEDs are set to auto in the DJI Fly application. Thank you.

Yes this is correct. I believe my Air 2s is also like that. At first I thought there was an issue but that's how it is now.

But Air 2S do not turn off while You record or taking photos

You can set them to stay on stay off or auto off when using camera for video or stills.
