DJI MAVIC 3 5.1K VIDEO TEST | HOW GOOD IS IT?

Hands down the Mavic 3 excels at video.  

Darren provided some awesome footage and the colors are so vibrant.  

Still holding out until after firmware updates.

I’m more of a photo guy and so far I’m struggling to see enough to upgrade.

From the majority of the videos I've watched it seems to be the consensus that there is not enough to justify upgrading from M2P to M3, especially in lieu of the increased price and lack of Fly App functions (DJI's IOU stuff).

I'd really like to know how projected M3 sales are going vs actual sales.  Seems like lots of M2P owners are holding out vice upgrading.

The big dealer in the U.K. is shown the base Mavic 3 as in stock but the new smart controller is already sold out.  The combo and cine are not due in yet to them.

The big box electronics stores here all have both M3 models in stock but none are selling the Pro SC yet.  Only one is taking pre-orders that I have seen.

Could be DJI knew the exorbitant price wold drive some buyers away and they produced a lot less.  Or just a matter of lack of chips and prioritizing where to use them to get the most bang for the buck.

I expect its a supply issue like you say and they prioritise where the parts are going.

Lack of chips has definitely had a negative effect on American car manufacturers.  Many car lines shut down and workers laid off due to the shortage.

I dont feel sorry for them myself,  they brought it on themselves to some degree as they operate in a JIT manor and they expected sales to drop during the pandemic they cancelled orders so the chip manufactures retooled for other products.  What they didnt realise was that the customers still wanted new cars.

No doubt that corporate management's expectation were way out of line from the consumer needs.
