Looking way back at my very first videos, this was an Active Track 2.0 test.  It tracked so well and the zoom and everything was awesome.  I was looking at new drone footages and stuff but nothing looks good like this.  Bringing back an optical zoom drone would be good.  The Active Track 2.0 seemed ultra spot on and looks so nice compared to what everyone else is doing w/ their Activetrack tracking.  Dolly zooming and moving w/ pin point accuracy tracking is like no other.  Everything was totally unplanned, was just trying to see how the system works.  I'm unsure if I can pull off the same shots lol.  It was all by accident.

Mavic 3 has optical zoom.   7X to be precise.

optical zoom by wire and activetrack while moving is no joke and should be brought back lmao, unfortunately it may die out like no-glasses 3D

It’s digital go x4 the x7 is optical as that where it switches cameras.

But it looks garbage when zooming in.  It's just to keep DJI from having the high-demands of having to manufacture for Optical.

After 7x it’s back to digital.  Only 1x and 7x are optical.

Yes it is. The top camera has a 7x lens.

The main camera has 2x and 4x digital and the top camera has 7x optical and then up to 28x digital. Its all right in the specs page.

It's not optical.

M2Z vs M3 2 cameras.  The lens mm is fixed.  This should be understood more when doing a photograph.  You can't really crop in digital, it's not as good as optical.  This is proven in facade jobs.  You can't get the leading DJI drones without using an optical zoom close to a high-wind building.  I've tried it and others have with bad results.  The M2Z with optical zooming capable really out shines All other methods.  It would just be nice if there were life and death scenarios made it where if you don't use the M2Z you die then it would make sense but w/o those scenarios it doesn't really matter.  You have to be in situations where if you gotta do what you gotta do happens then it should be the only selectable solution besides an M210/M300 of course but then you risk having huge ground devistation if that lands on people or property vs the M2Z. I was able to capture rust on the screws from a shroud fan with incredible detail w/ the M2Z in a 35mph 3-story by the beach situation.  It also worked great on NYC Facades that other pilots using other drones could and still cannot accomplish.

It's either that method to inspect for leaks or getting crane permits to check.  The M2Z is incredibly underrated and probably, optical has died out with the M2Z because it's not as profitable.

I know the tele lens is 7x.  I thought people meant 1x through 7x is optical.  lol.  The clarification in life can be confusing sometimes.  I always wonder when things are slightly confusing (in areas of life) that somehow people died because of it and are in the afterlife.  Not everything is clearly black and white.  I can't help but Always think about situations beyond the norm because I usually encounter them often.
