Especially since it is almost the same with all DJI drones

I was surprised its taken this long,   although the teardown did show moisture indicators inside.

I'm not sure if they are allowed to sell those.
I have seen some youtube video's from less known youtubers that bought gear from well known youtubers.
And they (the well known ones) got their review product for free.

The motors are full of metals that can corrode with water intrusion. And that can take months to cause serious problems. "Can" is not the correct question IMO .... "Should" is better.

It could well be as corrosion sometimes takes a while to show up but is already causing damage, especially to sensitive electronics.

Exactly,  same things happen in cars,   one module gets some water damage and then the entire can bus goes haywire.

Happens quite often following torrential rains in some states that have low lying areas and streets.  Many cars are flooded and the insurance has to write them off.

On BMW's they have a drain around the sun roof and a common fault is the drain clogs and then water gets into the car and wreck the electronics.

I'm seeing a lot of purple/magenta in the water on the right side of his videos.  Reminds me of the purple some people are seeing in photos.  Hopefully this can be corrected with firmware.

BMWs are terrible,  they deliberately do things to cost owners $$$.   A friend of mine had a 7 series and a rubber air hose on it went,   it was engineered in such a way that it couldnt be repaired easily as the joins were all moulded,  the replacement was hundred of pounds for what should have been a £20 rubber pipe.    We patched it up with black duct tape and he later sold it.

   Which is a bit of a concern with the availability of batteries in the future for the M2P.

As they are still selling the m2EA for £5000 and we can use those batteries I’m hopeful it will be a few years before that’s a problem.
