A cold, sharp shock for the Mini 1 this morning. Overnight frost has left the lowest part of the valley white.

Great shots Mr B,   funny I turned on the news this morning and they said the country was frost free today.   They got that one wrong.

Thanks David. I took one look and came straight back indoors. Followed closely by the Mini   It's a beautiful morning but I'll wait until the sun warms things up a little before venturing out again

It was 5c when I left this morning to head to the MIL's. No frosts anywhere here but it is bright and clear.

I'm just getting up the nerve to brave the cold   It's very still. so no wind chill to worry about.

Mrs B. decided to accompany me today, so we just had a gentle stroll round the neighbouring village (P2 in hand) and a quick warm-up in the local coffe shop before catching the bus home.

Thanks Depp. The sun had just peeped over the hills and along the valley. It was cold at that time of the morning - the drone didn't like the conditions ( and neither did I    )

I'll catch one for you, one of these days   I stood on this bridge for 15 minutes yesterday waiting for the train to emerge from the tunnel, before moving on.  I'd not gone 200 metres and out it popped.

We even used this phrase when spotting for trains : let's go and pack because it will appear then.

The drone and I were only outside for five minutes this morning, before deciding it was TOO cold to be out!  Later in the day, Mrs B and the P2 accompanied me on a walk around a neighbouring village - then a hot beverage in the village coffee shop before catching the bus home.  Heating is now on full blast

By lunchtime it was fairly mild, so the walk was bracing rather than shivering.  This morning the Mini 1 didn't like the cold at all. Several error messages and constant losses of signal at just a few hundred metres away. RTH return 3 times within a few minutes. So I gave up.  I'll re-calibrate it one afternoon when it's mild enough to play outdoors.

Interesting.  I curious how mine will tolerate the cold. Im gonna try and fly them the next 3 days. Were your batteries warm before starting? Im just trying to learn.

The battery was as warm as the drone - straight out of the house and into the air five minutes later after "warm" up.  Maybe condensation was a factor, but the drone wasm't at all damp when it came back down.  I think it threw a tantrum when it saw the frost
