I bet the Cine owners are older. Old people have more money to throw away than younger folks do.

Ive done these before , for instance Mavic Mini was 45 to 55 years and I believe this is similar across all drones. We shall see.

probably but throwing away money is what i did in my 20s.  the worthless crap that i spent good money for when i was 21 is astounding.  wasn't "big" money like for these drones but when i was a kid, you carried dollars in your pocket and all i remember is going to the atm machine daily.

dji saw that everyone has a mavic 2 pro and they created a cine so that ultra-professional drone owners who wanted something a big more could buy into a class.  it even comes with the cine mark which is brilliant.

help me on this thinking because it's where i am as well.  i want to get the cine but

combo = $2999
rc pro = $1199
total = $4198

a difference of $800.  you're paying for an extra controller so about $100.

but without the cine, you are missing pro res and 1TB, question is it worth $700?  is that correct?

For some people it's probably not mainly the price difference. It's the need to power on the drone to transfer your files from that SSD

First option has two controllers, but basically you’re paying an extra 800 for a 1 TB storage and pro res license, and if you buy an inspire thats what they will cost you except with inspire you can take memory card out and download instead of downloading directly from craft which can take up to 50/60 minutes so needing to use a full battery.

There is no extra value in buying Cine except you get an extra set of filters the rest you pay for , but if you have the time and the storage capacity its all good stuff. I’d love to try the pro res but I know I’d get fed up with it quickly .

As I get it, the only way to get the Cine/1TB SSD are to buy the $4999 package. Regardless of wether we could piece together most of the other things, those are not options we can buy separate like the controller and extra batteries.  Hell they don't even include the bag for $2200.

FYI, you won't even be able to use active track or the master shots till earliest January when they release the next firmware. Total BS when my mini 2 has MasterShots...

Curios, from what you said I am understanding that if you get the $4999 version the replace the memory card slot with an SSD drive. OOOOOHHHHHHHH hhhmm I don't like that. Bad card is a simple fix, bad SSD drive @^#$%!!!

I think you would all be surprised but I am guessing most of these people buying the Mavic 3 are under 35. These kids have money whether its daddy giving it to them or crypto winnings.

ok thx didn't realize there are 2 controller and for sure, i did't know the microsd card is replaced, i guess that makes sense.

hmmm, you have to power up the drone just to get at the video and you have no other choice....hmmmm.

ok i didn't know what this meant until i read further....because there is no sd card slot.  i was thinking of using the extra storage for larger files when necessary but it sounds like all recording regardless go to ssd.

You can also load SD card, but the ssd is locked in the drone, and recording for approx 40 minutes will fill it up, you then need to download through the drone using the drone battery which can take up to an hour so its a lot of effort and time and new capable equipment to store  the massive files. The gain is these files can be edited with more ease . So for those who fancy all the extra work you should get some really nice footage. But will you be able to really tell the difference, well the professionals should .

Once we get this settled, we can move on to the really important questions, like:
What shoe size do they wear?
And what's their favourite colour?

Yes but you’d be wrong, because its what you call dull and meaningless that seems to to attract participation.

I think knowing the age of those I’m talking to does no harm. You’ll also find that the same thread can stir other conversations.

Someday soon you might be 80 this will encourage those starting out at 75 theirs life in the old dog yet ;+)

I think any result you get here in this forum is likely to be skewed older than what the actual real world results would be.  It is generally us older folks that tend to participate in forums like this.  The younger folks are more likely to participate in things like Reddit, Discord, or other newer and trendier internet spots us old folks probably don't even know about yet!

ok yeah im not going to be THAT old but i think atm use in america is a thing and it's a little bit different than atms around the world.  drive thru atms were everywhere.  and i agree with kloogee we prefer simple forums, i remember the first bbs and usenet newsgroup i used to participate in and i had a geocities page complete with frames and midis.  that was my heyday, dialing up thru compuserve and using a netscape navigator.

You could be right, but from various clubs here in Ireland the vast Majority would be over 40 and into 70s , I think spend power has a fair bit to do with it and I see very few young You Tubers vloging about drones.

Clubs here are the same, but I would also suggest they also skew higher than actual ownership would be. I think the same comments I mentioned before about this forum also apply to clubs.  But having said that, I do agree that young people generally have less disposable income than older folks.
