Why? Up in the air, props blowing downward air, fan intake , zero air restrictions, (unlike some folks who have powered up their unit on the carpet)...
If the AC can sit there and hover (or fly for that matter) for 25/30 minutes on a battery, why not with a "constant battery"/tether.
The only issue I can really see is the weight of the tether line placing a heavier load on the AC itself....

The likes of the Mavic Pros have internal fans for cooling as that natural airflow isnt enough,   couple that with 10x longer flight times.   It was just something to ponder.
