When the Goyt Valley reservoirs were being built, the water authorities bought and demolished the impressive mansion on the hillside.
A travesty, as it was a magnificent building - and nowhere near the reaches of the reservoir.
Today, the ruins lie overgrown and neglected. Nature is slowly reclaiming the site.
A combination of footage from the DJI Pocket 2 and the Mavic Mini 1

Hi Depp. Thanks.  Well, it took me a couple of minutes to line up that swoop through the arch. I was stood directly behind the drone with it at eye level so i could watch it through the gap. As it rose over the stone foundations, it looks closer to the ground than it actually was   FPV?  Not for me!

Very nice find.
A bit sad to see it deteriorate.
Was that you halfway walking to the other side?

Hi Peter. I cannot understand the necessity to have demolished it in the first place.
And that was the ghost of Errwood Hall, walking past the arches.
Mrs.B had a cameo appreance as well, unbeknown to her ( She was busy photgraphing squirrels on her smartphone at the time   )

I bet there are secret underground tunnels under there Mr B.

The panning from above the ruins, across the valley to the reservoir was the Mini 1.
Then the last pan round at the end from the roadside was the P2 (in HDR mode)

Yes, it's common parlance ( around here, anyway)  A single wooden post with a short, arrowed plank sticking out in the direction of the path. There's thousands of them around this area.

Its not bad really,   you put beans and water in and it grinds them and makes the coffee,   then once a week there is a tray that you empty.   I cleans itself every time you turn it on or off too.
