This happened to me the other day. See attached.

Using airdata.com to ty to figure out what happened here.
Appears I lost GPS at the same time I loss the downlink connection for 23.4 seconds.
If I am interprepting the messages correctly. RTH was not available for 23.4 seconds until GPS
was re-established ? Can someone confirm?

I usually fly higher at this location, but this was a bit scary.
Even airdata.com says I had 25 GPS satellites when the GPS loss occured.
BTW - the aircraft flew back on it's own (no sticks) from point K to where
you now see the drone on the map.

i flew yesterday at different location, and I lost GPS for about a 1 second,
but it quickly reconnected.

Aircraft firmware =  02.04.2080
Fly App version 1.5.0
DJI Controller ( not SC)

Hi,

Connection between Drone and RC has nothing to do with GPS.

If you like upload your flightlog, link to airdata or phantomhelp or just put a cloud link to your flightlog on here

If disconnect the failsafe RTH starts, some type fly back the route for some distance, check the manual for that.

Thanks, had a look at your flight.

Error msg all logic to me but not for the last warning;

• Downlink Restored (after 0m 23.4s).
• Remote controller signal weak. Adjust remote controller antennas
• Weak image transmission signal. Adjust antennas
• Aircraft not connected to RC.
• Aircraft in Warning Zone
• GPS signal weak. Hovering unstable. Fly with caution
  

25 satellites and good reception, so this last message should not be there.


After disconnected your MA2 flew back on its route, distance between the 2 positions: 51.4 meter.
In the manual is stated that in a failsafe RTH craft will backwards on its original route for 50 meters. So well performed!
So after flying backwards 50 meters in adjusted the heading towards home, and connected again while doing this.
Approx 2 seconds later heading 242, the RTH heading.


So good flight, just loosing connection once.

Have you checked the Kp Index that day? Maybe that interfered with the apparently good GPS reception.

Kp index was 3 just before I took off.  UAV Forecast shows red status
just after takeoff. I should of taken a closer look.

Many people underestimate the harmful potential of geomagnetic disturbances on GPS reception. I personally never fly when Kp index is above 3 and only rarely when it's 3. A lot safer this way, I think.
