The video resolution is very poor... settings: 2.7k; 29.97; HS and attached to magetic laniard ie Action 2 is "upside down". Is this a software bug or some other issue?

Almost looks out of focus or zoomed in digitally.

I now think it was my fault. The magnetic attaching laniard piece was incorrectly placed with the largest section face down instead of at right angles. May be this created a more intense magnetic field which had adverse effects. Anyway with this simple change I cannot replicate the video problem.

Could u provide the original video so that we can check?

Interesting...  with the screen turned on and in contact with the wearer, I wonder whether digital zoom could be accidentally triggered?

It is x2.7 zoomed. since it is a digital zoom, the image quality drops.

I have always wondered how anyone would allow digital zoom on anything, a thing like that should only be used in extreme situations and never ever be a feature.

Thank you for investigating. I am relieved that it was not a product issue and accept your assessment. Some user feedback as this happened to me on more than one occasion and on different days… function (digital zoom) is too easy to enable. I know believe each time I have placed the Action 2 on the laniard, my thumb has inadvertently swiped the corner and changed the digital setting from 1.0 to a higher number! Easy to do and not realise until after you review in post.

may I confirm the firmware version : is it 01.01.08.10?
since we did tune the zoom gesture a little to do with the mis enable.
we need to know whether the problem remains

It is a "consumer" function that allows people to easily expose the zoomed frame properly via auto exposure. It can be of some use given the low dynamic range of these cameras. Of course if exposure is not an issue, using an advanced AI upscaler in post (when zooming is necessary) yields much better results...
