AS DAFlys recently asked for, I will now post a couple of shots of winter here in Sastamala. Although we didn't get the blizzard they said would be coming, the view at least looks more like winter than autumn. And, as a little bonus, got some sunset in there too :-)

Wow,   that must be cold then,   even when it snows here the lakes rarely freeze up.

It recently was about -14 degrees Celsius (8.6 degrees Fahrenheit) here, we'll see how the temperature will change the following days...

I dont think Ive ever been anywhere that cold.   thats almost as cold as my freezer.

That's not even close to the all-time record in Finland - in 1999, there was -51,5 degrees Celsius (-60,7 degrees Fahrenheit) in Kittilä, which is the second-coldest temperature measured in Europe. Luckily, it hasn't been that cold in Sastamala

I wouldn't dare to go on the ice, the temperature has risen somewhat and there is a bridge nearby where the water keeps running. But there are some fishermen on the ice sometimes, probably more on colder days.

At least not here nor now - it seems like most of the snow has molten away today as temperatures rose. Wonder if there even is any ice now
