At this point of a morning walk with the P2, a decision has to be made:
Left, over the bridge and a 5 minute walk to the end of the canal and my favourite café.
Right, and an exhilarating 45-minute walk along the canal bank and home.
Decisions, decisions......

Wow, such amazing shots.  

Now that would be a tough decision because going either way it appears to be a win-win.  As it was a morning walk I'd guess you took the route that ended up at your favorite cafe.

Haha. As it happened, I went both ways   Coffee shop first then back again and all the way home

Thanks Peter.  It's a fine walk on a  nice day. One which Mrs. B can manage too, being flat.
A nice triangular walk. Behind the view point (1Km) is Buxworth Basin, which you've seen in an earlier post of mine.  Over the bridge and to the left is the Café (1Km) and to the right is home (4Km).

The hill walks are quite beyond her now, sadly.  Fortunately, one or two summits are accessible by car, so we take a picnic up them sometimes so she can enjoy the views.

Now that's a great way to "refuel" the old body and get going again, especially if you spice up the coffee a bit.

It's not that kind of wstablishment   But I do have a nice hip flask  with something "restorative" in it for the most severe weather

Now that I have jogged my memory I think that one of my Assistant Scout Masters used to have a flask tucked away in his back pack.  I remember he said in case of emergency it would be for medicinal purposes.

Both routes seem visually equally attractive, but I think you got the best of both worlds by your choice. :-)

Thanks.  It's  a great walk, but can be muddy after a rainy spell.
