Just wondering on this as here in the Australian desert you get used to losing at least a couple of batteries on the M2P over a summer (and on the original Mavic), not ideal but it happens. If the internally-mounted M3 batteries do the same does that mean they will get seriously stuck inside the aircraft? Of course when the battery got swollen on the M2P it sometimes caused it to pop off in mid-air and crash the aircraft. By solving that problem by putting the battery inside the M3 are they potentially causing another problem? Asking for a friend.

The shell arounds the battery appears to be designed to allow the swelling to go somewhere rather than the solid sides of the Mavic 2 batteries.

I am very pleased they moved to fitting the battery this way, Im always concerned of the battery popping out the top on my M2P.
You don’t say. That was a huge concern, glad they have changed the design.
FWIW, my original M2P batteries only started swelling after more than a year of regular (and way too frequent) recharges.
I say, give it a few months at least, way too early to have it now...
