I'm not sure if they allow for that.

Is it worth a try?

I can.
First see if they will replace my stick.

Oh yes I’d forgotten about the breakage.

Oh yes I’d forgotten about the breakage.

I have not.
Just tried 2 more cases.
One failed. The second one got me a better looking shipping label at least.
I will send it over someday soon.
Bit bummed about the paintjob that failed.
All tiny bubbles. Which is strange, since that only happens with dirty surfaces or sunlight (to my best knowledge).
Both were not the case.
So I have to sand it down tomorrow and do it again.

I had the tiny bubbles in some gloss I did the other day.  I’m putting it down to the temperature.  Worst thing was it’s taken about a week to be hard enough to send it down again.

Maybe that is the case indeed.
I hope not, since I can't change that.
Or the fact that it is lying down (the door) and the paint is a bit thicker due to the temperature.
So I will put on a thinner coat next run.

A lot of paint seems to benefit from a 5% thinning.

I have looked into that, but it is a bit of a mixed story (that I was reading about this)

I often do it if Im painting in the heat just to slow the paint down a bit.

Depends on the paint but usually the same thing you’d use to clean the brush.  So for paint like gloss I’d use white spirit.

I never clean my brushes.
Just throw them away after use.
I do store them in water for a short amount of days.

If you want to keep them between coats wrapping them in cling film works great.  And you can save so much paint especially where rollers are concerned.

From what I have heard, water works better (for brushes).
But still, it is not going to work for more than a couple of days.
After that, there is too much old paint in the brush to work with.

If it is water based, I'll just clean the brush, otherwise I leave it in water for a couple of days. After that, I can throw it away.
So far I have not found a method to store or clean brushes from the other kind of paint I know.
(I think it is called acrylic paint)

acrylic paint is waterbed so wrapping or washing in soap water should work.

In that case I have gotten the wrong word.
It is def. not water based (the outdoor paint I'm using).

Usually its either white spirit or paint thinners,  and here we print on the tin which to use.

I think I read on the tech sheet that it was not advised with this one, but that was 4 years ago.
