I would have gone closer but I was having an issue with the Fly app,  it would only let me fly at 2mph.   I landed and had a flight later and it prompted me to do the tutorial and then it was fine,   most odd but at least its working again now.

There are people who complain because it is not as complete as DJI GO 4. I am thinking of buying Air 2S and how it goes with the fly app ... I am a little afraid to tell the truth ...

The fly app is getting better all the time,  so far the only thing its not doing now that I care about is the auto sync of photos,   if it works it strips the file names and some of the exif information,  like location which is really important to me.

The auto sync thing partially works for normal images but AEB etc dont.  Still the EXIF is messed with though which I dislike.

this works fine on DJI GO 4. I sync between iphone and ipad without problems

Indeed,   so theres no reason for them not to do it properly in the fly app.

Im beginning to wonder if they outsource the dev work and thus needed a new app from a new company.

Nope could barely get back to take off point because of the wind.  Turned out on the next flight that the fly app wanted to show the tutorial again,  I skipped that and all was well.

I think it was my fault,  this was the first proper flight after putting a slow SD card in the smart controller,  I think that might have had something to do with it.

It probably would have popped up sooner but the slow sd card was creating lag and I took off before it appeared.   Dont forget It was setup from new the controller.

everything could be in these times of pandemic. Although, in general, companies usually sign contracts in which they guarantee the ownership of the source code.

Indeed,   but quite often of you move the source code between two companies its easier and cheaper to start again,   especially if the original code is old and not well documented.

Ive worked on a few project like that where we literally gave two quotes and they usually wanted the cheaper and quicker solution.
