Hello there Pauldw100. Good day and thank you for reaching out. Upon checking the said mobile device ( Samsung Fold 3 ) that you want to use on the DJI Mini 2 and with the DJI Fly application. I am sorry to say that the said mobile devices are not recommended for the said DJI drone and with the said DJI application. There is a possibility that the Samsung Fold 3 will be able to work on the DJI Mini 2 and with the DJI Fly application. But however, since it's not yet optimized with the said DJI drone and with the said DJI application we cannot guaranteed if it will work all the time and if it will be able to run all the functions of the DJI Fly application while using it on the DJI Mini 2. For reference I will post a link where in you can check the recommended mobile devices for the DJI Fly application ( https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-fly ). Thank you.

Samsung Fold 3 works fine with Mavic 1...

I will need to buy dedicated screen I guess..

Just been out and purchased an Android tablet running Android 9.  DJI Fly won't install on that.

What is goin on???

I'm running DJI Fly on a phone with Android 9.

What error are you getting when you try to install?

It just says 'app did not install'... and that's it..

Rebooted tablet and tried several times and the same.

Highly frustrating... As I said my Samsung Fold 3 works fine with Mavic 1.  Upgraded drone and had 1 day and so far can't fly it unless I want to fly blind with no monitor...

Poor effort DJI...

OK, had an epiphany when I looked into the top of the controller when trying my parters iPhone 11.  

I was plugging everything including iPhone 11 into port at the bottom of the controller.  Please have a free laugh on me...

I believe as long as it runs the supported version of Android, it should work.

Can you let us know what app you used for this?

I have downloaded the app from the website not the app store but still not working.

Did you have to update the fireware on the controler and drone before it worked?

On the Zfold 3 I downloaded the APK from DJI download center. Installed the app and it works fine.
as far as updates go. I'm running 1.6.6 app with aircraft firmware 01.02.0300

Is there a slight chance for dji fly app to be fixed to work with Z Fold 3 ?   I realy do not want to change my phone .

I OWN the Galaxy Fold 3.  It works FLAWLESSLY.  I have zero issues and everything operated PERFECTLY.  Im on AT&T in Savannah, GA and have had nothing to complain about.  ALSO< just two (2) tiny rubber bands behind the pull-out phone holder in the RC work AWESOME to secure your open Fold 3.  I DID have to build a DIY sun hood since the NIT rating of the Fold 3 is lackluster.  BUT IT WORKS FINE on my Mini 2!!!!!!!!!!!  HAVE NO FEAR

You are CORRECT.

My flip 3 was working fine, but know it dont connect to the controller,

My dad has the Z Fold 3 and the Mini 3 pro. It’s connecting and the software is updated but it won’t let me take off at all. It’s working for my iPhone (iPhone 12) but not for his Samsung. We previously had the mini 2 and it was working perfectly with both of our phones. Why won’t the mini 3 pro work with his Samsung? Suggestions?
