Hello everyone,
I just bought an Mavic 3, and I need to register on AESA (Spain), and i didn't see at anywhere the Impact Energy for this drone.

Can someone help me?

Thank you very much, and sorry for my bad english.

You need to calculate the descent rate - how fast does it fall from 100 meters?

Then you need to take that descent rate and use this tool to determine how many joules.

I think you would be better using the maximum horizontal speed which is, I believe, 21m/s. That may even be faster than the freefall speed and certainly faster than the maximum controlled descent speed.

I have calculated it for our OSC, here is all the data you need.

If anyone spots an error, please let me know!
  • The first section is for a freefall from a given height.
  • The next is the maximum distance the drone will cover at a certain speed in the event of a power loss at max height (122m) (good for proving minimum separations).
  • The final section is the horizontal speed and impact energy, minus the props.
