Winter solstice sunset didn't disappoint!



I was able to take a few panos, and eventually make a small movie.

The sky was pretty lit



The light was on both sides of the sky



But the western past was definitely the main attraction


Good buy, sun!



And here's the movie.
For the record, thanks to my brand new 16Gb AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (which got installed today mere minutes before the sunset) I was actually able to use DR17 for the first time without it complaining too much.
It's very rough editing, as I was essentially trying various features that I could not even hope to get before (it was erroring out), so treat it as a proof of concept. I promise I get better!

The timelapses and motionlapses give an extra dimension to your shots. And the added bonus on this particular evening is - from today (the shortest day) we're now heading back towards Spring. Hurray!

Amazing shots Darth,   Got up early to do the sunrise this morning and the cloud cover as always spoilt the idea.

Magnificent sunset captures and footage.     This winter solstice sunset really provided some amazing camera time.

95 days days to go, still plenty of time for those long, cold, clear nights with freezing temperatures to go stargazing with...Think December usually "suckers us" with mild temps, then Jan / Feb come along and say "oh hai"

Yes, it seems as thought the traditional seasons have moved round a bit. Coldest and most miserable months are usually Jan/Feb these days.

I think our forecast here is the same,   further north in the UK they might get some snow,  but thats going to miss here.
