Astonishing. The hyper-speed gave the impression you were going to jump the red lights, so the abrupt stops were startling too

I NEVER jump red lights - too dangerous - actually hate people who do - plenty of videos on yt that show what happens to red light jumpers
however I do have a light jumper that is grey which I wear when the weather is chilly

Should have checked first!
Did the ride set at 8x slomo - but when I looked at the file all BLACK like the new Zealand rugby team.
Tried just hand held with the same result - big file no view.
Works at 4x slowmo tho.

The Pocket 2 records at x8 SloMo. It's the setting I use as default.

I tried again at 8x slowmo  - it records and on the p2 it plays back like normal BUT when I take the sd out and play the files through my laptop: The sound file plays fine, the video file just produces a black screen, does not even play must be on my laptop side - maybe the software (windows 7 media player) or the screen. going to try some other players....

That's a great hyperlapse :-)

As for the video playback problems, I found out that Windows media players don't seem to like many formats and cause occasional playback errors. VLC player works well in most of these cases.
