Yes. The 5g frequency might affect the aircraft landing systems for deciding their height,  although I thought other countries had already launched the 5g without issue.

One of the news stations said that it is effecting 1/5 of the planes in use still.  I think what caused the uproar was the recent addition of many towers near airports where AT&T and Verizon just expanded their new C-band 5G that allegedly can cause interference with radar altimeters that pilots use to land in low visibility conditions.

Seems that many foreign airlines are cancelling flights into some US airports over this.

I like AT&Ts response to this.

“We are frustrated by the FAA’s inability to do what nearly 40 countries have done, which is to safely deploy 5G technology without disrupting aviation services, and we urge it do so in a timely manner,” an AT&T spokesperson stated."
