A selection of the better timed images from the Cromer Fireworks display of January 1 st 2022



Thanks to everyone who chipped in with advice etc. If I'd go again, I'd fly out and film the beginning, return to change the battery and then film the finale...Live and learn.

Despite the super windy night you did a great job.    The best part of most fireworks shows are the start and then the big finale so the plan you learned will be helpful in the future.  Life is full of learning moments.  

Maybe next time the weather will be a bit more cooperative.

Thank you very much, was suggested that it lasted only 15 minutes, but was closer to 30, so next time!

Thank you, me neither, just ported my 'better' shots into the Mimo app and let the 'ai editor' produce the clip; it's different for sure!

Some spectacular shots there Chris. Quite a big display it seems.  There were a few desultory bursts around here, but no big organised display.

You didnt record the sound of the fireworks.  Also what effect is that I really like the boxes.

Well I did, from my Osmo Pocket, but too far away and too much wind noise...all stills, "smart" images from the drone..

The template is called  "Modern City", it's in the 'AI Editor' in the Mimo App, under the Travel templates...it's a rabbit hole you could lose an hour in experimenting with them all

Yes, this one well organised and normally huge, with a procession and church service too. Though cancelled for the past two years due to Covid and not uncommon to be postponed due to high winds. There's a crowdfunder to raise the £5k costs, so I chipped in £10 which I think was fair for 1 person..usually bucket collectors in the streets etc...When Cromer puts on an event, like this and the summer Crab and Lobster Festival, they do good.

Great pics, the transition effect looked a bit weird to my liking, but the shots themselves looked very nice :-)
