I don't know why DJI did not put a lanyard mount on the controller, it needs one. It is so handy to be able to use both hands to change batteries etc without having to put down the controller. Also for extended flights it is nice for my neck to support the weight. I am using V1 right now and just remove it when not in use.

My mistake. I am seeing the term "smart controller" refers to another controller. What is the proper name for the one that comes with the Mini 2?

On the rear of my MIni 2 controller is printed R-C-dji- RC231.
