Hello and Happy New Year to all !!!
Take a look of this short video with my Air2s flying low over water. The drone flew perfectly fine and straight in strong head wing maintaining the altitude perfectly. Shot in dlog and color graded.

Be careful at such heights and in those lighting conditions, you do not have much time to react to any descent.
That said, NICE video.

Great footage! Congrats! (but it was a risky move flying near sea level! hahaha)

Thank you! The whole flight was in visual contact, watching the drone and ready to cut forward stick and apply full throttle!

Be wary of cutting the forward stick and then adding throttle. This comes from having seen my Mavic Mini start to descend after ending a long, low fast run over water, the Air 2s may not have this occasional quirk but I be more inclined to throttle up and then cut the forward stick.

Thank you! Not at all! Wasn't flying by the screen for the first part of the flight, i centered the yacht in screen and then hit full forward watching the drone visual. There is a huge amount of lag in these types of video link so if you fly by the screen/fpv there is not a lot time to react if something goes wrong in low altitude. On the other hand when i fly my fpv drones or planes i feel a lot more confident to fly low using my screen only.

Thank you for your reply. I daresay that if you are an experienced fpv pilot then flying low over water is quite tame for you.

This was pure coincidence that I noticed.
I scrolled down and happened to see it.
The door is (finally) ready btw.

Woo Hoo,    Another project nearly finished?

This one is finished.
Oh wait, I still have to mount the door bell knob. But that should be 5 seconds.
Next one is almost finished too (the board for my instruments). Looks great.
I still have to fit my stuff, but that will happen soon.
I'm thinking about doing the ground floor of the garage next.
It could do with a major overhaul.

Whats the plan for the floor?   Mine has an epoxy on it which is nice but I wish I had self levelled it first.

I probably won't be doing the floor itself, just the 'ground floor'.
The ceiling is made with plaster boards but they are not screwed well, so they are sagging. And I don't like plaster boards for a ceiling, so I will probably expose the beams and paint them.
Further, I want to make a long hanging shelf for storing wood or other things. (it's getting crowded....)
And do some re arranging of the electrics (that is a big mess now), new lighting, make room for more tools, get a nice board for hanging my hand tools, do some proper tidying up and probably do something with the walls. Although i'm not sure about that last part.

Absolutely lovely footage, especially in low light into the setting sun. I do most of my A2s flying over water but after a few hiccups with the controller haven't got the confidence to fly sooooo low yet.  Lovely clip, well done and thanks for sharing!

Ah Gotchya,   got lost in translation.

We have regulations here that garages should be sealed to the rest of the house for fumes and fire restriction is double layers of plaster board all round is very common.

We don't have rules like that.
So I will try and go for the most efficient + nice solution.
And I hope that is removing the plaster, revealing the beams and attic floor.

Have you thought about changing the garage door?

Yes, I'm not sure.
They are 2 big doors, so a car could (in theory) pass through.
Which is a waste of wall space, since I will never do that.
But changing that to one 'normal' door is quite expensive and wall space is not that important to me.
The insulation part is another reason to get it changed, but still, not important enough for me.
I can always decide to do that later. The doors are nothing special, so they don't add value to the property.

Leave the doors and build a stud wall on the inside?

Possible yes.
I will have to think about the space when doing the rebuild. It might be where I will store my larger pieces of wood (boards etc.) so in that case, the door is ok as it is (as I can store that stuff against it)

I saw a guy build a wall behind to doors about 3ft and then used that space to store the timber and then he brings it in through a side door.  Not entirely sure I like the idea of that,  seems more wasteful.     My workshop has a very high ceiling,  so I have built a mezzane across half of it where I store timber and supplies.  Downside is heating it.

I have thought about various options. But since it is ment to be 'open space' anyway (there is another door on the wall on the left), it will probably remain 'as is' and only be used for these flat big things.
