Let's hope the new firmware fixes those GPS and OA related issues, and it will be great if we can see more of the missing features added  to the FLY app.

I think FW will bring other problems initially but after some period it should quite down and as spring arrives users will fly more and forget about all the niggly bits .

I hope so (for M3 users)

The Phantom 4 RTK 1/4/2022 firmware thread is still there so the cleanup isn't entirely complete.

An API firmware app thread like Discord people can subscribe to, to send push notifications on what software they need updates on would be better than being, oh do I need to update? > unpack things and realize they already have it.  The app/Discord would have to know what firmware they are already on with each.  Could be tedious to setup but worth it.

I was meaning sticky’s on the Mavic3 forum. But yes a simple column allowing members to voice what they need “would be great” I don’t think DJI would follow it to the “T” but it would be helpful if only 50% was pushed.

A DJI Discord would be the best way but only 5000 users can connect lol

If we don't see anything before the 22nd when they all leave for Holiday, then it won't happen this month.

I don’t think that will happen. DJI have just sent out extended warranty to all users which ends 7th feb 2023. Now its highly unlikely they will introduce FW during Chinese New Year 1st to 14th Feb. So if they were to release after 14th they would be in more trouble regarding warranty also they are about to release a new combo option with RC pro for the rest of the world , this is said to be released I think 20th January, now it would be an almighty Cock up if they were to release this without SW.

I’m surmising here, and you could be right, but I think they will disappoint many if they push this out to long. But we’re dealing with DJI and they are a law unto themselves. I think we will see it before end of the month maybe not 22nd but soon after.

They begin celebrating before Feb 1. And because of lockdowns etc it has been pushed back.

Sorry if I'm a bit obtuse, but does that mean they will be off starting around the 22nd or sometime later.

I don’t think the new FW will be smooth, usually when new FW/SW releases it creates loads of problems for the first couple of weeks, but I hope they have tested it to where it should be released, they probably need something positive to happen for this drone.

Not at the level that DJI does. Name one $5,000+ product that you have purchased that has had as many problems as this drone? In fact, name any product, regardless of price, that has had this many issues.

Any Jaguar. Windows 8. Most ANY first year/model tech.

Mavic 1, Mavic 2.  I was on this forum when Mavic 1 was released, withi 1 month more than 30 drones had crashed and burned. This forum was lit with problems.

So far problems I see are 90 seconds to gain GPS lock, craft flying in normal mode porpoising  , the software was always going to be released later we all knew that. Video and photo well there was some complaints about magenta shift but that seems to be fixed. The small camera .

But yes other tech , well inspire has been grounded twice. Matrice 10k grounded for almost a month. Autel pro couldn’t fly straight for 7 months.

They close in china for 16 days, they wont be closed in Europe or the US for 16 days. Anyone here from US or Europe has never had to send their drone back to China. So support will still be there. You seem to be writing off this FW update before it comes. Can you tell me which drone dji has made that has flopped been recalled or hasn’t turned out to be the best drone in its class.

I agree that there may have been a lack of testing in the rush to get this drone to market, but since Ive bought it I have flown it with no real problems a couple of niggly bits and have experienced some problems with RC pro. But I know soon most will be fixed and for those who don’t agree then returning is an option.

I don't own a Jaguar but you are saying that when a new Jag. model comes out it can only do 25% of what the previous model did? Examples please?

So Windows 8 only supported 25% of what the previous version did?

My smart phones seem to do what the previous models did.

I have had to return 2 MacBook Air because of problems in the past year. And have had problems with mobile phones in the past.

But knowing drones and this being a drone forum, I don’t wish to talk about washing machines.
Ill return the question to you. Can you tell me of one single drone from any drone company that has been 100% straight out of the box. Autel have just released 4 new drones and all are awaiting FW updates and have initial problems.

Your mavic 1, 2, air 1 all had problems out of the box but all turned out to be great drones. And yes many more complaints about these drones on this forum. Many crashes many app problems many FW problems, I think even if you waited longer you would still have these problems. But if you weed out the actual problems from the perceived ones it won’t take a huge amount to put this right IMO.

I'm saying that you wanted examples of buggy releases. I gave you some. Percentage doesn't matter. If the only thing your Jag won't do is start, it doesn't matter what 99% it will do. One more thing, if you like something - buy it. If you don't like something - don't buy it. Simple.

How many drone manufacturers are having constant fly away issues (liability to the public) with their drones?  I know of none.  Maybe the FAA needs to be alerted.

I don’t need to do a google search, I could do a google search for any drone and It would throw up some stuff.
Why not deal with the cases that are on here, right now of “Flyaway” there are two but no proof either are flyaways, unless of course you know something I don’t ?
