Can I submit a request for the RAW-only photo feature for the Air 2S?

I personally think the JPEG+RAW is useless since a user who solely shoots RAW will unlikely be needing the JPEG variant of all the images and vice-versa. Although there could be scenarios where one would want a JPEG just to share it instantly on social media but also going to edit the RAW image later on.

+1 Please add the option.

Agree, I also shoot and prefer RAW only so to me the +JPG is useless.

Yes, please! This would be a great time saver when culling and organizing images.

Absolutely zero need to have JPG and RAW at the same time imo.

Let's not forget the fact it actually Adds time to transferring the JPG files too if you are doing the entire folder.  Would've probably included the TIFF, PNG, BMP files that cannot be unselected too this way we can actually understand how it makes sense to have either RAW or JPG only.

Yep, please add this. It's annoying to have to delete the JPEG files just to edit RAW later, it will also save space on the SD Card.

It is not a bug, it is a design feature. The creation of a .DNG file requires the image processor to also create a JPG image, which is embedded in the .DNG file. Therefore they might as well give you both files. A .DNG file needs the embedded JPEG image because many devices are not equipped to decode the DNG and also because file explorer apps need to be able to show a preview of the file.

You might not want the JPEG file, but it is actually a necessary part of the file creation. Argements about wasted file space are plain silly, given the size of SD cards we have available.

I don't think the complaints are silly
The old Air 1 have this option, which is supposed to be much older than the drone and the old technology, the new Air 2 / 2c does NOT WANT to provide it to us.
Let us not take everything for granted and rejoice in the crumbs that explode on top of us
The drone costs a lot of money and I don't want to have duplicate files every time and play to rub them like some idiot who has no other job to waste his time rubbing files

I don’t mind it the way it is, jpegs are great for distributing to others so I don’t think the facility is useless, its easy to delete them. But if other DJI drones have the choice then it shouldn’t be that difficult to keep everyone happy.

Not to sound melodramatic, but I have been shooting almost exclusively raw since before I even had a camera that had that option. I voted for the feature as well, though to be fair modern memory standards are much greater than back then (I used to shoot on 4GB cards), and running out of memory on photos alone isn't really be an issue anymore. But it's nice to have the option.

I don’t know why this is not supported. That’s just a software thing to get it on.

After the Fly update earlier today, I have flown 2 batteries without any FW update or prompt. What FW version are you talking about?

I have a client that sometimes want RAW, sometimes wants JPG and occasionally, wants RAW+JPG.  Not that big a deal to set before flight.

Just delete the Jpg's no big deal.
