I bought the new mavic 3, I'm from Spain, but currently travelling in the US.
In Spain the Mavic 3 is in CE mode, but when in the US it warned that the country has changed but still on CE mode.
Is there any way to force the mavic 3 to be in FCC mode in the US?

I think it automatically changes between CE and FCC based in our GPS position.
So in US he will work in FCC mode.

Yes, based on behavior in previous drones, it should switch automatically based on location you are flying

Well maybe he can tell us how do he know the drone is on CE mode or in FCC mode....
Because it does change automaticaly...

it is easy to recognize, my air2s comes along and switched, the M3 didn't. There are some paid hacks on the web, are they reliable?

Yes they are reliable.

If it is in CE mode then in Transmission settings the 1km will be inline with the 90db marker, if in FCC mode then the 1km will be above it.

I was thinking of taking my mavic on my travels, did you have to declare the drone with its batteries and was it carried as cabin bagggage or placed in hold .

I know that I had to do an online UAS test and register the drone with the FAA and lasts for 5 years,

Depends where you are going to and with which airline.

I usually put it in the hold but carry the batteries in cabin baggage, which you have to anyway.

I have also carried everything in a rucksack and just put it through as cabin bags, it’s just a camera after all.

Some countries won’t allow you to bring a drone in but you can transport it through (UAE when heading for SriLanka)

I have never had an issue though just check your destination country.
