Indeed, the contrast between the top and the bottom part of the sky looks very interesting. A very dramatic and visually impressive shot. :-)
Totally dependent on the weather. Currently we have howling South Easter with temp around 33C (sticky sweaty) and also we had brushfire which most likely added to the effect (smoke).
But often our sunsets are spectacular. I had neighbors from Germany who, when here, would sit and have sundowners and absorb the sunsets.

OK on the weather.
And that sounds like a very civilized way to end the day
"Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, sailor's take warning."
Thanks Downtown, I could not remember the saying...
I dunno if the sailors were delighted with today, wind is pumping something terrible, so they would have to sail wuth a wossname as a break or they will break speed limits without hoisting any sail or flag even.
On the other side, when we have wind like this then deep inland (Gauteng etc) get lotsa rain, but I get the impression they have enough already. See the Augrabies waterfall in the Orange river

You're very welcome Droffarc.
OMG, that's a lot of water. I'd say they had way too much already.
