It would be great to have a fully working OSD while flying this system. On the other hand it would be OK if you tell us that will never happen so we would just go on and try to force the Betaflight devs to incorporate a hack to get at least the warnings in the craft_name field.
But please tell us what's going on on your side of the story!

I really hope that DJI will finally make a public statement on the subject. It is a shame that there is no roadmap or timeline of planned features and updates. The DJI FPV system works really great, but I think it's time for some improvements and features! And canvas mode should have a high priority on this list.

There is definitely room to grow in the fpv market since a majority of pilots still use analog video, waiting for the right time to jump onto digital. I believe that a fully developed osd could be a crucial argument to switch.
However, at least a official statement would be great ✌

Owning the DJI FPV now since nearly one year, I am super disappointed about the software development. Only the worst issues are ironed out. Things like canvas mode should not be that difficult to implement, but nothing. No roadmap, no new features.

You are right TOM, It was my worst experience.

@Stephen It's time for canvas mode because Betaflight and INAV support it. It's the future of compatibility. Users are now buying HD zero because they need it and DJI doesn't support it.

I will also have a look at hdzero, they get better and better.
maybe canvas mode will never happen, i think its time to think about switching.

Just here to show interest in Canvas Mode too - please DJI, let us know your plans in that regards, is this anything that will be coming ever? This is really important for a lot of us.

Yes, DJI, PLEASE. CANVAS MODE.

It's about time to support the community and work together on these features. It would be a bold move for DJI to go in this direction and I believe that this would attract DJI products! Technically, the products are excellent: range, penetration, image quality, etc. But HD-Zero is catching up fast and they are working better with the community. When range, penetration and image quality are on par, many will switch ....

Canvas mode is coming!
Not by DJI! The community has solved the problem, which DJI never could do, in few weeks. It's just a proof of concept as i understand. Hoping to see great things soon

We know what is possible

canvas mode or live audio, etc. many other things.

but in the last 2 years no new features came, nothing biggest firmware update was 50Mbit. that's it.

well i am curious if the features that have been ignored in the last 2 years will come with the glasses V3.

If you compare HDzero/Divimath to this. they communicate with the community and respond to everything the community wants. I think that's just great.

I hope HDzero/Divimath will eventually reach the quality of DJi. and I will definitely be the first to change.
