One of our relatives is a sports reporter for national news.
He told me all about this first hand when he returned from China.
It was super bad.
Unfortunately he got Covid now, so he can't go this winter games.
He will test positive for at least another 8 weeks and that is a big no in China.

They have.
Equal numbers as here in NL (relative to the population).
But they have abandoned all measures (at least, that is what I read about it)

Just read about it this morning,   although they have growing numbers they are scrapping all rules including isolation.   The article pointed out that they did this before and had to back track it.

I remember that indeed.
Here we just had an article about the current test policy. That it was 'outdated' as we hit 100.000 infections per day (so everybody will get it in a couple of weeks) and the reason for testing is usually to tame the spreading. But that is not working, as it is everywhere.
We'll see how it goes.
