Has anyone already been brave enough to install the new version  or can give any information whats new.

Installed, but unlikely to be able to test in flight until the weekend...

Update went OK, and the app opens on my HTC U12+ without problems - though that's without aircraft connection at this point.

From the release notes it looks like the changes are Mavic 3 related..

Smart controller is the android version,  I also installed the IOS version but I didnt fly that yet.

uh, just had a nice flight with my MA2 with the updated firmware ; succesfull flight, better batt performance?

At home again a pop-up in the FlyApp for a the 1.5.8, fly the next day again to check this out.  brrr  cold hands again  ;-)

Very favorable changes to pro settings. Great idea with increasing signal icons and battery range. I would prefer the color of the battery capacity digits to be withe all the time and not to change to orange. You cannot see the digits exactly.

Has anyone else seen anything like this yet? Am consiering going back to 1.5.4 before I fly at the weekend... or at least having the 1.5.4 apk on my phone so that I can downgrade in the field...

Looks like 1.5.8 is already obsolete.  My Fly app just updated to 1.5.9(1015) Android.  Still showing 1.5.8 on iOS.  About to test 1.5.9 on my SC and A2S.

Update--  I didn't fly long, but I noticed on RTH the drone, once above the home point, descended very slowly.  Probably the firmware, since I have not flown since that update either.  Just too gusty and cold for me today.  Later this week I will put it through its paces.

Have a look at GAVINHR youtube channel (video above).
He is hosting all earlier  versions.

I did find in the Fly profile settings that I can now choose to use the SD card as primary storage.

Oooh, is that for the Mini 2 as well?

I saw that in GavinHR's video and for some reason understood it as being for the full Mavic rather than the Mini.

If it's for the Mini 2 then that's good news for me.

My bad. This is on the Rc Pro. I'm not sure if anything but the M3 and S2 work with the RC Pro yet. Mine(Air 2S version) does not work with the Mini 2.

Yes, since yesterday, but it seems that all 1.5.9 related treads have been deleted by the mods or moved to somewhere in forum where no one can see it anymore.

Yes, upgraded (and subsequently 1.5.9) on IOS. Flights are fine however..... in video pro mode, the only thing I can change now is the shutter speed i.e. can NOT manually adjust ISO any longer. I have seen videos on you tube where this is possible....I can only assume that is on Android and not on IOS. Anyone else?

Saw some others with this issue, they had to delete and reinstall the app twice before it worked as intended
