What a bumper update!  The long-awaited January update is here and bundled in with the 'Minor Bug Fixes' is a a fix for that jumpiness in Bypass mode.
Thanks DJI!  Love it when things work properly!

Ian

Good job Ian. I’m just wondering will we see drones now being caught in the wind and not making it home as we have with drones in the past. Advanced RTH looks a bit scary but I haven’t heard a single case of one crashing on RTH. Good news that they have optimised how the drone handles.

I've done a wind test with the Mavic 3 and it's even better than the Air2S and original 2 Pro.  This model won't be getting blown away anytime soon.....
Cheers!

I agree, this drone has the power to fly through winds better than the M2P could, just don't push it beyond it's limitations though.

I was just about to come here and thank DJI for getting the legacy RTH into the Mavic3.  I can now trust it to use RTH.  I am so happy with this update!

Not being familiar with that issue (it predates my forum involvement in drones) - what was happening?  Drones were seriously getting jostled around during return to home?  Love to know which models etc and what could be done about it.

Hi Suren.  I got this clip when I ordered the Tripltek, but having had a quick look on eBay, there are plenty of similar clips.  You want one that's got a wide end hook for looping over a thick tablet if you're using the Tripltek.  This one seems to fit the bill:  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383869933637

Thanks Ian for being so quick with reviewing this new update.  Seems to have fixed many things.  Still a few tweaks to go but overall the M3 is a beast.

Mine still ascends…

When you say it ascends do you mean while Hovering, flying around obstacles, or flying when no obstacles are present.

Mine still ascends…

If you're close to the ground (say less than 6-8 feet) it will still rise up slightly.  This shows at 7:13  on the video
