Hi All,

Filmed this several years ago with my trusty Mavic Pro and only getting round to making it public now. I guess my editing wasn't 'manly' enough to put on the main quarry YT page so I may as well put it on my own.

The perfectionest in me only spotted an error after uploading to YT several years ago, can anyone spot my mistake?

Hi Boardtalk. Nice video. Would the error have been at the end and with automatic aperture, as it got darker, or did you do this on purpose?

Thanks Kyalami, and no, that was a 'slow' fade to black - its a feature not an error ;-) Never had any problems with the automatic aperture though.
About 0.46 into the video the horizon isn't straight. I should have calibrated the gimbal before taking off. I had corrected the horizon on most of the video except for the bit in the middle.

It can be tricky to spot a crooked horizon because it might be the natural fall of the land/mountain/hills.
Maybe I shouldn't have said anything :-D

Beautiful views.    Quite a large quarry.  Great choice in background music.

Thanks DowntownRDB, its a very old quarry - over 100 years with a lot of very interesting history attached. I like the music too, this video was my first proper edit using RAW footage, ND filters, colour grading and basically, I gave it the whole shebang!  So am a little proud of how it turned out even with the lopsided gimble.
Don't know if anyone noticed but when it flies over the quarry floor, windmills can be seen in the distance - which is kinda cool.

Yes, the rail yard is still in use. Its even busier now than it was in this video, lots more plant/machinery and items for rail track repair there now.

It would but they work at night unfortunately and miles away from the depo in unknown locations. But yes, I might head over there again sometime soon to see what I can see.
