We've had strong winds and high tides here in Norfolk, causing a train to be almost de-railed. The line is still closed and will be for some time, but the drone pilot capotured some resonable images here https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/tra ... s-haddiscoe-8656478

He got some good shots of that,   I wonder if he worked for them?

Not the chap who got his images in the paper...The Greater Anglia video dude was flying a Matrice.
Once word got out of the incident on a local FB group, many dropped what they were doing and went to photograph the scene.

Ouch, that will be expensive to repair.

Swiss made, too, so yes, I imagine so.
They are bi-mode, so quite clever, a diesel engine in the middle for parts of the track that are not electrified and then a "thingy" springs up when they are on the electrified tracks to take power from the overhead cables...

Here I am quietly editing some footage, and what do I hear in the distance?
The darn steam train has just chuffed through the cutting!
Too late to dash out and film it - and it's raining steadily too, so no chance for the drone.
It should be back later today, so I'll check at the station, see if I get another chance.

You wait months for a bloody steam train and them .....

Forecast is rubbish for the next 10 days or so here, good luck for later on today!
