PS, I'm starting to try out youtube shorts more and more.
It is a very different format and it is still a bit of a struggle to find a good way to incorporate it into my channel's subject, but it is very popular....

Just found out they don't contribute to your 'monetizable views'.
So in essence they are (at least not yet) interesting if you have not hit the 4000 watch hours yet.

I always thought the point was really to get more visibility to your channel as they appear more in peoples feeds.

Well, I'm not sure about tiktok, but youtube has a different approach for 'paying' content creators for shorts.
And from my point of view it is very sketchy what they are doing here.
Since it is close to impossible for smaller creators to get anything in return from those.
Not even watch hours.
