I've been testing the Shure MV88+ with the Action 2 and it works very well. It provides a configurable, MS stereo (and therefore mono if you want) mic which can be readily windproofed with a dead cat type windmuff. It also provides a limiter, compressor, and eq together with headphone monitoring and replay.
In my YouTube demonstration, I've emphasised how remarkable it is that the only audio / visual device that supports USB digital mics and interfaces is the Action 2. DJI are well ahead of the curve with this.
The only downside is that in order to change the mic configuration, you have to use a Shure app on your phone, having disconnected the mic from the camera and connected to the phone. I wish DJI could put their heads together with Shure so that in the Mimo app there could be an option to display the Shure mic configuration page, which would reconfigure the mic via the Mimo's wireless connection to the camera. I can but dream...
