Hello there DAFlys. Good day and thank you for posting this nice video that you have came upon. Nice find and thank you for your support.

Very interesting video DA.  VIC gave some pretty good tips.  His pano with telephoto lens was quite the challenge.

Yes,  agreed that would be a nice touch as long as its not too loud.  Youtube annoys me with the sound,  some videos are very quiet and then you get mid roll ads and boom.   CNN is the worst for that for me.

It used to happen on the TV here but they passed a rule to outlaw it.

I'm quite sure either they do it on purpose, or the ad makers have better (sound) compression.

It is a complex matter, but in essence you are shaving off peaks from the sound.
So there is less difference between 'loud' and 'soft' parts.
And this means you can increase the volume without having clipping.
So compression is used to make the whole sound louder, not just a couple of peaks.
That is perceived as 'more volume' by our brain.
While the peaks are still at the same level, the average is just more loud.

Yes,  thats the one,   theres a long and short version if the adverts I see are right.

That is quite expensive.
If you need a shotgun mic (it is a niche product I think) it looks good.
Most people won't be needing this kind of mic I think. That is only useful if you want to aim your mic and capture very little audio from 'around'.

It does appear to be a very directional product,  just funny how I kept seeing adverts for it.
