Final 'train of the day', here's a Great Northern Train, from London, leaving Ely on it's way to Peterborough.
Really need to go back and put the Mavic here and try for a hyplerlapse on busy weekday.

Just don't call me a trainspotter!

I chanced a drone flight this morning, but nearly got blown into next week. So I bowed to the inevitable and brought the drone home safely.

A wise move,  I stalk the weather forecasts, and like yesterday, if clear, will drop work and get out...regular work for clients started early this morning, just bits and pieces left now and I'm done..

Yes, there are times that a zoom or telephoto mode would be useful; the UK rail do their best to discourage drone flights, with requests for calls / emails notifying them beforehand.

I never bother, just keep my distance.
Luckily the M2 can get quite close legally.

Yeah, we can go as close as 50 metres legally, but they are a bit ansty if seen...I am planning more trips to the surrounds of Ely this year, so we'll see.

50m is perfect if you ask me. Any closer and you probably will lose the train quickly

Agreed, it's tough to film a fast mover, smoothly without making the pan movements too jerky...
