I'm not sure. I saw it somewhere else. You suppose that's a proximity sensor on the front top area?

Built in lights like those on the legs would be nice.

But that does look like a 3D render rather than an actual physical product shot.

Not that that on itself means anything other than anyone could have created the render (including DJI).

That's true. Some product images are rendered by the companies themselves, but DJI does a pretty good job keeping leaks limited. I guess we will find out. The 5K is probably the absolute minimum. I'm sure it will be doing 4K60, which is what I'd love my Mini 2 to have.  

If you zoom in, you can tell that the "drone" is superimposed on the wood grain back drop. That only means the picture has been doctored. Could be real? Who knows? It sure is purty, though!!

Works both ways, I guess.

I almost didn't buy Mini 2 as it didn't do 4K50 and it seemed to be close to DJIs release cycle so the Mini n3 could have been just around the corner (October/November last year).

I was burned like this by DJI when I bought my Osmo Pocket. They released the Pocket 2 very soon after with better surge and the same price as the original.

They stopped firmware updates for the original OP as well leaving there original OP with a number of bugs.

I can see why they keep their release plans quiet commercially, but the related practices around stopping updates so quickly doesn't do their reputation much good long term.

Coz it ain't an iPhone... And to be completely accurate it's actually the autocomplete/Swype that's the problem.

I use Swype style typing rather than individual key presses. It gets its right most of them time so safes a lot of time and finger fatigue, but not always... Obviously ;-(

Yes, my default preference is 4K60 (for U.S.). I just love the way it looks. I did finally get that with the Air 2S, and it was great. But I needed to sell that drone to help pay for something else that cropped up. It was just as well, as it was more than I really wanted to spend.

mini3 will probably be out this year (spring, summer whatever), but what we really want is to get 1inch sensor (or at least close to it) on it due to all silly restrictions in eu etc, where sub 250g drone looks like to be only viable option for the future in urban regions..

Id be interested to know where ya found this? I have tried google image search, right click reverse image search and tineye reverse image search and all came up with the same 0 results, did ya make it yaself#? failing that, it came from a private source

I used this image of the Mini 2, flipped it horizontally, then did some tweaking.

Yes, a darker grey would definitely be appealing.

There is more life left for Mini 2, though…
Even painting it a darker gray shade. ;)

I do like that colour grey myself too, perhaps a skin in that colour (not color :p )  ;)
